I studied medicine at St George’s hospital medical school and qualified in 1997, initially pursuing a career in surgery and worked in orthopaedics, urology and ultimately spinal neurosurgery in London & Birmingham before leaving the NHS in 2005 and working in clinical research and drug development, as a senior medical advisor in infectious diseases and associate director of transplant and oncology before returning to the NHS in 2010 as a speciality doctor in emergency medicine. I then worked across the country from as far south as Jersey and as far north as Orkney before being appointed a Consultant at Leeds Teaching Hospitals and then moving back south to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in 2016 where I worked until 2021.

Throughout my time in emergency medicine, I also broadened my clinical experience by training in aesthetic medicine and in 2008 I began to work in sports medicine.

1st I worked at Silverstone in motorsports, in equine sports for British Eventing and then in rugby, lacrosse and football. I was the 1st team doctor for Doncaster Knights, Ealing Trailfinders and Saracens Women’s Rugby, Immediate Care Lead at London Irish as well as the extrication doctor at Silverstone for Formula 1 and the Chief Medical Officer at Santa Pod Raceway. To better support these teams and the elite athletes I looked after I added to my experience by fully training as a GP and am in my final year of study for a Masters in Sports & Exercise Medicine.
